ArtSites Updates

I just wanted to let everyone know that we have changed the login system that is uses by ArtSites. In the past, you have been able to log in virtually permanently. Now a login session will expire due to inactivity. By default, that inactivity is 30 minutes but if you click on the "Stay logged in?" check box, it will be 2 weeks.

We made this change to make it less likely that someone would log into their account on another computer and leave it so that someone else might access their account. The were a number of small issues with specific web browser behaviours with the old system as well that the new system avoids.

If you find that the next time you need to log into the administration system, you have forgotten your user name or password, just click on the "reset the password" link on the login page to have the system send you an email that will include your username as well as a link to allow you to reset your password.
