Add a Title Image
Instead of just having your name and a tagline, ArtSites also allows you to upload a "title image" as the header of your website. (Here's an example fromone of our artists - Wolf Schenke. See the image at the top of each page?) If you would like to have a title image, here are the instructions.
- Create a title image file (or photo) outside of ArtSites using a standard image editing program, e.g. Photoshop or something similar.
- Your image/photo should generally be no larger than about 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels high. However, the best results will depend on your chosen layout.
(Tip: Choose animage that complements your website's colour scheme.) - Once you have yourJPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) title image file...
- Upload your title image file via the 'Upload 1 New Image' link on the 'Images' tab in the Administration Panel.
- Make sure to give your new image a Title. (You will need to select it by name later.)
- You do not need to put in any gallery or provide a description.
- Scroll down and click the 'Add New Image' button to save.
- Now, go to the "Advanced" tab in the Administration Panel.
- Scroll down to the "Title Image" section (see below)
- Click on the drop down list box.
- Select your image (by name)
- Be sure to click on the "Update Advanced Settings" button at the top of the page to save!
Congratulations! Your new title image can now been seen on your website!
