Add a Title Image

Instead of just having your name and a tagline, ArtSites also allows you to upload a "title image" as the header of your website. (Here's an example fromone of our artists - Wolf Schenke. See the image at the top of each page?) If you would like to have a title image, here are the instructions.

  1. Create a title image file (or photo) outside of ArtSites using a standard image editing program, e.g. Photoshop or something similar.
  2. Your image/photo should generally be no larger than about 500 pixels wide by 100 pixels high. However, the best results will depend on your chosen layout.
(Tip: Choose animage that complements your website's colour scheme.)
  3. Once you have yourJPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) title image file...
  4. Upload your title image file via the 'Upload 1 New Image' link on the 'Images' tab in the Administration Panel.
  5. Make sure to give your new image a Title. (You will need to select it by name later.)
  6. You do not need to put in any gallery or provide a description.
  7. Scroll down and click the 'Add New Image' button to save.
  8. Now, go to the "Advanced" tab in the Administration Panel.
  9. Scroll down to the "Title Image" section (see below)
    Title Image Section
  10. Click on the drop down list box.
  11. Select your image (by name)
  12. Be sure to click on the "Update Advanced Settings" button at the top of the page to save!

Congratulations! Your new title image can now been seen on your website!
